The Course Focuses On

1) Speaking Arabic with confidenceAl-Ahdaf Academy emphasizes learning Arabic through speaking, ensuring students gain confidence in using the language.
The Muhawarah Course focuses on practical conversational Arabic, enabling students to speak Arabic confidently in daily interactions.
The Arabic language course at Al-Ahdaf Academy incorporates relevant language learning with textbooks tailored to the Singapore context, making it applicable and enjoyable for students.

2) Understanding Arabic text.The goal of reading Arabic is to derive meaning, and comprehension is crucial for achieving that purpose.
The course focuses on helping students develop comprehension skills, along with fluency and word recognition in reading Arabic.
By mastering these aspects, students are able to confidently explain the content of a text in their own words, demonstrating a deep understanding of the material..

Course Requirements

Beginner Level

  • 16 years old and above

  • Zero Arabic knowledge or writing ability required.

Intermediate Level

  • Have basic Arabic conversational skills.

  • Able to introduce yourself briefly in simple Arabic.

  • Able to construct basic sentences daily verbs with pronouns such as (Ana, Nahnu, Anta/anti, Huwa/Hiya).

  • Able to count to 100 in Arabic.

  • Able to describe simple objects using tastes, colours, shapes and sizes.

  • Able to ask and answer questions.

Advanced Level

  • You are to complete the intermediate level.

Additional Information

  • Must be above 15 years old

  • Classes are conducted in English

  • Class is formed with every eight student to facilitate ample interaction.

  • Certificates will be given upon completion of each level.

  • Seats will only be secured after payment is made.

  • E-receipt will be given after payment is made.

  • Class recording will be available as an alternative if all available lessons were missed

Mustafa Altahir

Al-Ahdaf Academy
  • Mustafa Altahir is the founder of Al-Ahdaf Academy, a Singaporean of Yemeni origin.

  • He has a diverse educational background, including graduation from Al-Azhar University in Egypt and attending The American University of Cairo for Translation (Arabic-English).

  • He has also studied at Dar Almustafa in Yemen and Darul Lughah in Indonesia.

  • Additionally, he has started an Arabic language club in Singapore as a platform for language practice.

  • He has over 8 years of experience teaching Arabic.

  • He has developed his own textbook specifically tailored to make the learning process enjoyable and efficient for learners in Singapore.

  • In addition to teaching, he works at Masjid An-Nahdhah as a Dakwah Officer

Muhammad Fairuzee

Al-Ahdaf Academy
  • Mudarris Fairuzee is an Arabic and Islamic Educator.

  • He began learning Arabic at a young age, and attended Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah for 12 years.

  • He pursued tertiary education at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, majoring in Islamic Jurisprudence.

  • While in Egypt, he became proficient in both formal Arabic (fusha) and Egyptian colloquial Arabic.

  • After graduation, he returned to Singapore to teach Arabic.

  • He has taught at various institutions, including Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah, Al-Zuhri Institute, Jamiyah Education Centre & As-Souq Arabic Centre, and Al-Ahdaf Academy.

  • For more than 7 years, he has helped students from diverse backgrounds to achieve proficiency and fluency in Arabic.

  • In addition to teaching, he works as a financial consultant specializing in financial planning for Muslims.
